ReelCut ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Android mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using ReelCut, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Service.

What We Gather
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the ReelCut experience.
Account Info
Name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in with Google.
Device Info
Device model, Android version, app version, and language preference.
Usage Data
Templates browsed, features used, and general app interaction patterns.
Advertising ID
Your device advertising identifier, used to serve relevant ads via Google AdMob.
03 — How We Use Data
Putting Your Data to Work
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In and sync your preferences.
- To serve and manage video templates, categories, and featured content.
- To display ads through Google AdMob and support the free version of the app.
- To track app usage via Firebase Analytics and improve features based on what creators use most.
- To send important service updates and in-app notifications.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
04 — Data Sharing
Who Sees Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share limited data only with the following:
- Google (Firebase & AdMob): We use Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and template delivery. Google AdMob serves ads within the app. Google’s privacy policy applies to data they process.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- With Your Consent: We may share data with third parties only when you have expressly authorized us to do so (e.g., sharing a video to social media).
05 — Data Storage & Security
Keeping Your Data Safe
Your edited videos, drafts, and media files are stored locally on your device. Account information and app preferences are stored securely via Firebase.
- All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
- Authentication is handled securely through Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0).
- Template files are cached locally to reduce data usage and improve performance.
- We do not store your photos or videos on any server.
06 — Ads & Tracking
Advertising & Analytics
ReelCut is a free app supported by advertising. We use the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Serves ads within the app. AdMob may use your advertising ID to show personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device’s Google settings.
- Firebase Analytics: Helps us understand how the app is used, which templates are popular, and where crashes occur. Data is collected in aggregate and anonymized form.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Automatically collects crash reports to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time via your Android device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
07 — Your Rights
You’re In Control
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right to Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectify
Correct any inaccurate data in your account profile.
Right to Erase
Delete your account and all associated data from our systems.
Opt-Out of Ads
Disable personalized advertising via your Android device settings.

08 — Children’s Privacy
Protecting Young Creators
ReelCut is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age.
09 — Policy Changes
Staying Up to Date
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will:
- Post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
- Notify users through the app for any significant changes.
Your continued use of ReelCut after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
